SAIL-IISCO Steel Plant Commences Vigilance Awareness Week 2025 with Administration of Integrity Pledge

The Steel Authority of India Limited’s (SAIL) IISCO Steel Plant, Burnpur, commenced the observance of Vigilance Awareness Week 2025 from October 28 to November 2, on the theme “Vigilance: Our Shared Responsibility.”

The week-long campaign began with the administration of the Integrity Pledge by Shri Surajit Mishra, Director-In-Charge (Burnpur and Durgapur Steel Plants). The ceremony was attended by Functional Heads of Departments, Chief General Managers, and employees, reaffirming their commitment to uphold transparency, accountability, and integrity in all spheres of work.

In his address, Shri Jitendra Yadav Sapkale, CGM (Vigilance) & ACVO, welcomed the gathering and outlined the series of activities and outreach programmes planned during the Vigilance Awareness Week to promote ethical conduct and awareness among employees.

Reflecting the linguistic diversity of the IISCO Steel Plant, the Integrity Pledge was administered in three languages:

Bengali by Shri Anindya Ghosh, CGM (Quality) with additional charge of CGM I/c (Services)

Hindi by Shri Kamalesh Kumar Singh, CGM (WRM & Bar Mill)

English by Shri Surajit Mishra, Director-In-Charge

The observance of Vigilance Awareness Week underscores SAIL-IISCO Steel Plant’s continued commitment to fostering a culture of honesty, transparency, and ethical governance across all levels of its functioning.
